Swoop Privacy Policy

Swoop is a card game with solo and online multiplayer modes. This policy explains the information used to run the game, support purchases, respond to support requests, and measure advertising performance.

Player Profile and Device Storage

Swoop stores your chosen player name, avatar selection, and an app-generated player identifier on your device. It also stores game preferences, solo results, daily game counts, and purchase entitlement information. You do not need to provide an email address or create a password to play.

Online Multiplayer

When you create or join an online room, Swoop sends your player name, generated player identifier, room information, game settings, and game actions to the multiplayer service to operate and synchronize the game. Your player name and shared game information are visible to other players in the room. The service and its hosting providers also receive connection information, including your IP address. Choose a player name you are comfortable sharing.

App Measurement and Advertising

Starting with iOS version 1.0.8, Swoop uses Meta's software development kit to measure app opens and the performance of advertising for Swoop. App-open requests can include an SDK-generated installation identifier, event timestamps, and technical app and device information, such as app version, operating system, and device characteristics. Meta also receives the IP address used to connect to its services. This measurement is not limited to anonymous, aggregate reports.

Swoop is configured to disable Meta's collection of Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and automatic app-event logging. The app explicitly records an app-open event once per app process launch. It does not explicitly send your Swoop player name, multiplayer player identifier, email address, gameplay actions, or purchase details to Meta as part of that event.

Swoop also uses Apple's SKAdNetwork for privacy-preserving install attribution. Its conversion mapping represents installation only; it does not encode purchases or gameplay. Meta processes information under its applicable terms and Privacy Policy, which describes its data uses, retention, and privacy controls.

In-App Purchases

Apple handles payments through the App Store. Swoop uses purchase and restoration information to unlock purchased features. We do not receive your payment card details.

Device Permissions

Swoop does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or device location services. This does not prevent online services from receiving connection information such as your IP address.

Support and Privacy Requests

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond. You can also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. Include only the information needed to identify your request; do not send passwords or payment card details.

Your Choices

You can change your player name and avatar in the app and choose solo play instead of joining an online room. Solo play does not turn off app-open measurement. Removing the app removes its local app data, but does not itself delete information already received by online services or retained in device backups. For information held by Meta or Apple, consult their privacy controls and policies.
